Next spring, viewers will return to the Mushroom Kingdom with a new animated film based on Super Mario Galaxy.
Insider MyTimeToShineHello reported that the debut trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will be released in November. According to him, the trailer is "already ready" and will be shown along with the musical "Wicked: Part Two", which is scheduled to premiere on November 21. Usually in such cases, the trailer appears online a few days before the cinema screening.
Nintendo and Illumination officially presented The Super Mario Galaxy Movie in September 2025 at the Nintendo Direct presentation. The film will be a direct sequel to the hit "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" (2023) and will be based on the Super Mario Galaxy sub-series games.
Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic have returned to the director's chair, and screenwriter Matt Fogel is once again responsible for the plot. Chris Pratt (Mario), Anya Taylor-Joy (Princess Peach), Charlie Day (Luigi), Jack Black (Bowser), Keegan-Michael Key (Toad) and others will also return to their roles.
Earlier, Nintendo confirmed that the film will premiere on April 3, 2026 in the USA and on April 24 in Japan.
