Previously, EA itself boasted that the launch of the new Battlefield was the most successful in the series' history.
According to analysts from Alinea Analytics, Battlefield 6 has sold 10 million copies worldwide.
In an interview with GameIndustry.biz, analyst Rhys Elliott from Alinea Analytics stated that Battlefield 6 has surpassed 10 million copies sold. However, he noted that this momentum is not enough to overcome Call of Duty's dominance in the market—at least not this year.
Elliott explained that Call of Duty has a huge audience on PC and consoles, where casual players who buy the game annually "out of habit and brand loyalty" predominate. Call of Duty's base of such players "significantly exceeds" Battlefield's, and integration with Warzone provides millions of users with constant marketing, in-game promotions, and social connections that turn attention into purchases.
