The developers of Age of Respair have decided to postpone the release to 2026. This is a medieval real-time strategy game with city-building elements, announced in October 2024.
Although the Stronghold series is considered iconic, few similar games have appeared over the years.
Respair Games initially planned to release the project before Christmas 2025, but decided that more time would be needed for refinement. The official statement indicates that the goal is to present a fully completed, balanced, and optimized game with the best visual component.
Understanding that they only have one chance for success, the developers have chosen the strategy of "better to wait and do it well." At the same time, closed testing is planned for a limited group of players, as well as the release of a demo version that will showcase "all the main features" of the game.
