In the movie "Predator: Planet of Death," Elle Fanning played the roles of Weyland-Yutani corporation synthetics named Tia and Tessa. According to the actress, her unique physical features came in handy during filming - for example, double-jointed elbows and the ability to not blink for a long time.
"I actually have double joints in my elbows, and you can even see it in a couple of scenes - I'm proud of it. Dan really liked it. I can also keep my eyes open for a long time without blinking, so in the episode where my character looks “off,” it was all done without graphics - it was me, the computer had nothing to do with it".
The actor who played the Predator, Deke, Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, recalls that when Fanning first demonstrated her "skills" to director Dan Trachtenberg, he was shocked - he thought the actress had just broken her arms.
Given that in "Planet of Death" Tia spends most of her time tied to Deke's back, the flexibility of her arms turned out to be not just an advantage for Elle Fanning, but a necessity. According to Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, these scenes became one of the few moments in the film where it was possible to do without computer effects.
