Football Manager 26 was recently released. The authors of the sports manager simulator skipped the release of FM25, but the delay, judging by the final result, did not particularly help.
The new product received so many negative reviews on Steam upon release that it ended up in the top 10 worst in terms of user rating (a significant portion of the negativity is related to the new interface - dissatisfied players call it very unintuitive).
The creators of Football Manager 26 have started fixing the game and released update 26.0.4. It includes more than 300 different fixes and "quality of life improvements" - various bugs, freezes and crashes have been eliminated.
There should no longer be situations where the date field displays "01.01.1900", and in the "Career -> Managerial Vacancies" section, both male and female teams will now be displayed.
In addition, the developers of Football Manager 26 talked about some of the features that increase the realism and cinematic quality of matches. This part was created on the Unity engine and the cutscenes before the matches were reworked.
Dynamic Highlight Mode will react to the intensity and importance of matches, "showing more highlights when things heat up and less when you're on your way to victory."
