A lorebook helped to find out how Karlach is doing after the events of the Larian Studios game.
The authors of Baldur's Gate 3 presented a large amount of content, but in the case of Karlach, there was no unambiguously good ending. Recently, this moment was corrected.
Fans drew attention to the official lorebook Book of Hungers for the Dungeons & Dragons franchise. From it, the further fate of Karlach becomes known.
The events of Baldur’s Gate 3 unfolded in 1492. According to information from the lorebook, in 1501, Karlach is still alive, did not become an illithid, and reappeared in Faerûn.
From this, fans concluded that the heroine, while in Avernus, was still able to solve the problem with her "engine" (mechanical heart).
It is noteworthy that the "bad ending" is considered bad by far from all players. Previously, Samantha Béart, the actress who played Karlach, spoke about the reaction of some fans.
It turned out that people with PTSD, chronic and incurable diseases liked that the writers of Baldur’s Gate 3 did not give the heroine a "magic way out" of her situation.
