Rockstar is known for the elaboration of its games and attention to detail.
While waiting for Grand Theft Auto 6, players are sharing their thoughts about the new Rockstar Games project, and there is an opinion that it will be just like GTA 5, but in version 2.0.
Insider Kiwi Talkz disagreed with this vision and stated:
This is definitely not "GTA V 2.0", and people have no idea what they are talking about. Some of the [plans] Rockstar that I've heard about GTA 6 are very ambitious, and it's unlikely that any other developer will be able to match what they're doing in the next 15-20+ years
The insider did not go into details about what exactly Rockstar Games is doing. However, thanks to the studio's patents, you can get an approximate idea, for example, mentioned such things as: realistic character animation; technology for continuous detailing; a solution for optimizing the world; AI integration for motion capture.
GTA 6 is expected to be released in November 2026.
