Silent Fear is created by a single developer, Hail Al Yamama, and looks like a blatant clone. The game's page on the App Store uses screenshots from the original, and the logo and one "in-game" frame appear to be generated by artificial intelligence.
The Silent Fear logo is inspired by the cover of Silent Hill f.
Two "gameplay" images are borrowed from the MKIceAndFire YouTube channel (the watermark is visible in the lower right corner) and further processed with mobile game icons, creating the illusion of running on iOS. The only "original" image is an AI art featuring the main character behind a store checkout.
The player becomes a night cashier in an almost empty roadside store, first performing routine tasks, and then encountering paranormal phenomena. Judging by the description, the gameplay is inspired by the indie game The Convenience Store by Chilla’s Art.
The game sells for $4.99. Silent Fear was released on October 2, just a week after the release of Silent Hill f. It is unclear whether Konami knows about the clone, but its days are probably numbered.
