The viral project, where players connected by a chain try to escape from hell, will form the basis of a film by the authors of "Greenland."
Anton, known for the films "Greenland" with Gerard Butler and "Bombshell" with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, has announced the development of a film adaptation of the indie hit Chained Together — a cooperative platformer that went viral on Steam in 2024. The script will be prepared by Corey Todd Hughes and Adrian Speckert from So It Goes Entertainment. Information about the director, the start of filming, and the expected release date has not yet been disclosed.
The original game from the British studio Anegar Games offered players connected by a chain to escape from hell together, climbing through multi-level worlds. The project gathered more than 94 thousand simultaneous players and received 90% positive reviews after more than 48 thousand reviews on Steam.
On the occasion of the announcement, Hughes and Speckert issued a joint statement.
