Former Unknown Worlds CEO Ted Gill talked about the unannounced game codenamed Project Labrador and the Subnautica movie led by Charlie Cleveland.
As part of the lawsuit between Krafton and the co-founders, it was revealed that the studio was preparing a secret project, the release of which was blocked by the publisher. Gill confirmed that he would like to return to the position of CEO to oversee the launch of Subnautica 2, the production of the film and the release of Project Labrador.
“We worked tirelessly on Subnautica 2 for three and a half years. The release was close, and losing it at the last moment is hard,” Gill said. He added that Charlie was not involved in the development of Subnautica 2.
“There is another game – Project Labrador. I want it to see the light of day.”
Krafton explained the postponement of Subnautica 2 by the desire to “ensure a better experience for players” and noted the lack of active leadership from the co-founders.
