In the new installment of the franchise, players will be able to meet old acquaintances.
Various insiders have reported that Leon will appear in Resident Evil Requiem, but Capcom has not yet directly confirmed his participation in the story.
Recently, the developers gave fans new cause for speculation. The community's attention was drawn to a statement by the producer of Resident Evil Requiem.
When asked if other old characters besides Alyssa Ashcroft (heroine of Outbreak) would appear in the game, Masato Kumazawa replied:
Let me put it this way: yes, some characters from previous installments will appear in the game, but don't get your hopes up too high. We can't promise anything about this, I'll just say one thing: there will be characters involved in the Raccoon City incident.
Leon Kennedy was among those who managed to survive the Raccoon City incident, so fans of the franchise have hope for the hero's return.
The release of Resident Evil Requiem is scheduled for February 27, 2026.
