After the new Street Fighter film adaptation, Noah Centineo is preparing to participate in a film based on another Japanese franchise.
Legendary Pictures is preparing a live-action film adaptation of the cult anime "Mobile Suit Gundam," and now Noah Centineo may join the project.
According to Deadline, the star of "The Recruit" is in talks to participate in the upcoming "Gundam" adaptation, where Sydney Sweeney has already been cast in the lead female role.
The film is being directed by Jim Mickle, who previously worked for Netflix on the series "Sweet Tooth." He is also the author of the script and producer of the film, which is being created by Legendary in collaboration with Bandai Namco Filmworks, the owner of the original franchise.
Plot details are still being kept secret, but insiders have previously reported that the future film will be a variation of "Romeo and Juliet" in the harsh world of "Gundam." Filming is scheduled to begin in early 2026.
For Centineo, this will be his second consecutive project with Legendary: he recently completed work on the Street Fighter adaptation, which is expected to be released on October 16, 2026. At the same time, the actor is preparing to shoot a "Rambo" prequel, which Lionsgate is working on.
