Bad Ridge Games has released a major update for Mirthwood, an RPG with life simulator elements inspired by Stardew Valley. The Foundations patch "has become the completion of a series of major updates" and made the world more realistic.
The main change is the appearance of NPC death. Now characters can die because of the player's decisions. If the hero ignores or does not complete a dangerous task, the NPC associated with him will die, and a new resident will appear in the city.
Also, four pets have been added to the game. They can be bought for the farm — they sometimes collect resources and help protect the farm from thieves and rats. Along with this, random bandit raids and pest invasions have appeared.
Three festivals with unique decorative rewards and more than 35 events that occur on the main roads and affect the hero's travels have been added to Mirthwood.
