After the completion of the October closed technical test of Marathon, Bungie announced plans to conduct a new playtest of its extraction shooter in December on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Testing will take place from December 13 to 16. Servers will be available for six hours a day from 1:00 to 7:00 Moscow time.
All test participants must sign a non-disclosure agreement that prohibits broadcasting, as well as sharing screenshots and gameplay footage.
Earlier, Sony confirmed that Marathon will be released before the end of March 2026, but Bungie has not yet announced more specific dates.
Go in search of treasure in an abandoned colony on Tau Ceti IV in a team-based first-person extraction shooter developed by Bungie. Choose your Runner and team up in teams of three to fight for weapons and upgrades with rival squads and enemy security forces. Survivors will keep all their loot and be able to use it for future raids in the Tau Ceti system, or take a risk and go on an expedition to the abandoned Marathon ship overhead.
