The continuation of Gabimaru's story starts in a busy winter season.
Studio MAPPA has announced the premiere date for the second season of the anime "Hell's Paradise" — the sequel will be released on January 11, 2026.
The first season, released in the spring of 2023, was warmly received for its dynamics, visual style, and careful adaptation of Yuji Kaku's manga. The story tells about the ninja Gabimaru, who went to a mysterious island in search of the elixir of immortality.
Simultaneously with the release date, the studio presented a new key poster and visuals of four new Yamada Asaemon — Shugen, Jikki, Kiyomaru, and Isuzu.
Director Kaori Makita will once again lead the production. Akira Kindaiti is responsible for the script. Character designer Akitsugu Hisaki and composer Yoshiaki Dewa are also returning to their roles. Among the new names in the team are cinematographer Chika Toda (second season of "Jujutsu Kaisen") and art director Junichi Higashi ("Love Live! Sunshine!!").
The second season will be released in a busy winter anime period: at the same time, the third season of "Jujutsu Kaisen" and the continuation of "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" will start.
