Players of the global version are demanding that the mechanics be added to international servers — but it looks like they will have to wait a long time.
A major new mechanic has appeared in the Chinese version of Where Winds Meet — a system for building mechanisms in the spirit of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The update, released on November 26, added a full-fledged construction mode that allows you to assemble aircraft, carts, rafts and other devices from various components. Finished structures can be saved as blueprints, shared, and instantly recreated without reassembly.
According to the plot, the innovation is associated with the Mo faction — masters of mechanisms, traps and early engineering devices. As noted in the Chinese developer blog, Mo's followers "studied practical methods that help people" and became famous for their art of creating ingenious structures. To join the faction, players will have to explore blueprints and test devices.
Currently, the construction system is only available on Chinese servers. Everstone Studio has not yet announced when a similar mechanic will appear in the global version. Judging by the current gap in content — about 11 months — it is unlikely to be expected before the end of 2026: global servers will receive updates gradually, following the schedule.
