"Evil Tanya" returns after nine years.
Kadokawa has presented the first teaser for the second season of the anime "The Saga of Tanya the Evil," also known as "Youjo Senki: Saga of Tanya the Evil" and "The Military Chronicles of a Little Girl." Along with the teaser, a new poster has been published, and it has been confirmed that the sequel will premiere in 2026 — nine years after the release of the first season.
The anime is based on the light novel by Carlo Zen with illustrations by Shinobu Shinotsuki and tells the story of an office worker who is reborn as a girl-soldier, Tanya Degurechaff, in an alternate Europe during a large-scale war.
Takayuki Yamamoto, who previously worked as a director of individual episodes of "My Hero Academia," became the director of the second season. He replaced Yutaka Uemura, but the studio NUT ("Blue Giant", "Deca-Dence") is still responsible for the production.
The specific premiere date has not yet been revealed.
