Chinese manufacturers continue to develop their own solutions to reduce dependence on NVIDIA and AMD.
Chinese company Xiang Dixian has for the first time demonstrated the new Fuxi A0 graphics card at the ICCAD Expo 2025 in Chengdu. The GPU is based on the Imagination DXD architecture from Imagination Technologies and is one of the first graphics solutions manufactured using the 5nm process.
The booth showcased a ray tracing test scene where Fuxi A0 showed about 35 frames per second, but it is unknown what resolution the rendering was running at and whether scaling was used. The manufacturer also stated that the video card is capable of running Black Myth: Wukong "with a very good frame rate", but this statement was not accompanied by a real demonstration.
According to Xiang Dixian, Fuxi A0 is the first mass-produced GPU based on the Imagination DXD architecture. It is equipped with 12 GB of video memory, supports upscaling, and provides twice the performance compared to the previous generation.
The Fuxi line will include two models: A0, for gaming, and B0, intended for artificial intelligence tasks, where a separate neural processor will be added to the GPU.
At the same time, software support issues remain open. Xiang Dixian claims that Fuxi A0 is ready for mass production, but in the modern industry, drivers and optimization for popular game engines are no less important. It is also not specified which scaling algorithms the new product uses.
For comparison, Chinese Lisuan Tech, when announcing its gaming video cards, presented its own NRSS scaling technology, but in the case of Fuxi, nothing has been reported about a proprietary analogue or adaptation of existing solutions.
