The release on Switch 2 was a major challenge for Ubisoft: it was necessary to port a large open world and stories with two main characters to a compact device.
Visually, the Switch 2 version is inferior to the versions on other platforms: lighting quality, detail, textures, shadows, animations, draw distance, and reflections are reduced. However, the game maintains a good visual level and atmosphere of the late Sengoku period.
The resolution on Switch 2 is close to Star Wars Outlaws with DLSS for increased clarity. Performance remains a problem: maintaining a stable 30 FPS is difficult, especially in urban areas with a large number of NPCs. Ubisoft has optimized the version so that Switch 2 provides basic playability in both docked and portable modes.
Future updates are expected to improve FPS stability.
