The creators of League of Legends have released a development diary dedicated to the season's novelties. They talked about a new control mode using the WASD keys and more.
Over several months of testing on the PBE server, the developers were able to catch more than a hundred bugs with WASD controls. Improvements were made to the system during the process, for example, a player suggested that Riot Games add the ability to assign movement up or down the line at 45 degrees to one button — this option will appear in the accessibility settings.
WASD control in League of Legends will be available in all queues except "ranked" and "normal" in selection mode.
In addition, dynamic camera locking has been updated. The developers have implemented the ability to change the camera speed, as well as a "scouting mode:"
With dynamic camera locking, holding down the middle mouse button allows you to freely move the camera. If you release the button, the camera will return to its previous position.
