The first stage of testing new content has already begun.
Battlefield Studios has officially announced the return of the Battlefield Labs program — closed game tests that will help refine future updates for Battlefield 6.
The first wave of tests began on December 2 and is only available on PC. A limited number of players received early access to content that will officially appear on servers on December 9.
In the future, tests will be divided into two types:
- Scheduled sessions — for testing experimental updates
- Short "sudden" sessions — for quick feedback on key gameplay changes
The developers promise more serious experiments: changing map layouts, match pace, alternative team compositions (for example, fewer players or an emphasis on vehicles), new maps and modes, prototypes of mechanics, and more seasonal content.
