The project is being created through the joint efforts of Sony Interactive Entertainment and Bad Robot Games.
Sony Interactive Entertainment and Bad Robot Games (the gaming division of J.J. Abrams' company) have announced a partnership in which they are developing a new co-op shooter for personal computers and the PlayStation 5 console.
Left 4 Dead game director Mike Booth has been placed at the helm of the project. According to Bad Robot Games CEO Anna Sweet, this will be a completely new intellectual property.
The authors are in no hurry to share details, but stated that it will be a "bold and innovative project".
Booth first spoke about working on a co-op shooter back in September. At the time, the developer stated that the project is based on everything that made Left 4 Dead so special.
