Over the past five years, the company has lost 91% of its value.

Ubisoft's market capitalization has once again fallen below one billion dollars and, as of the beginning of December, remains at about that level. According to TradingView, as of December 5, 2025, the publisher is valued at €850 million (approximately $989 million) - the lowest figure in the last 13 years, since September 2012, when shares were trading at €6.20.

The company has recorded a drop in sales and bookings for the second year in a row. At the end of the 2024-2025 financial year, Ubisoft lost between 20 and 50% in a number of key indicators. Against the background of a series of unsuccessful releases and delays in new projects, investors have lost faith in the publisher's ability to restore growth. The situation was aggravated by the postponement of the financial report and the reduction of about 1,500 employees over the past 12 months in order to reduce costs.

Ubisoft's key asset has now effectively become the Vantage Studios structure, which the company announced in March 2025. Its operations started in October - then the publisher moved to a less centralized management model and transferred control of the three largest franchises to Vantage: Assassin's Creed, Far Cry and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six.

The division, based on the concept of "Creative Houses", unites more than 2,300 employees and offices in Montreal, Quebec, Sherbrooke, Saguenay, Barcelona and Sofia. Tencent Holdings invested €1.16 billion, receiving a 25% stake in Vantage Studios and the right to use its IP. The division is estimated to be worth around €4 billion - more than four times the current capitalization of the parent company Ubisoft.

Over the past year, the publisher's shares have fallen in price by almost 51%, and the company itself has suspended trading several times before the publication of reports. Analysts call what is happening a "point of no return": if the current trend continues, Ubisoft risks selling off its remaining assets or becoming the object of acquisition. Despite the continued release of content for existing games, investors no longer believe in independent recovery - today Ubisoft is worth less than the franchises it owns.
