The Boys are back to put an end to it all. The fifth season will be the show's last and will conclude the story of the confrontation with Homelander.
The series "The Boys" is nearing its end. Prime Video has announced the premiere date and presented a teaser for the fifth and final season. The premiere will take place on April 8, 2026 — the first two episodes will be released on this day, and the show's finale is scheduled for May 20.
The streaming service also presented a synopsis of the upcoming season.
In the final chapter, Homelander finally establishes power and subjugates society to his whims. Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother's Milk (Laz Alonso), and Frenchie (Tomer Capone) find themselves in the "Liberty" camp, while Annie (Erin Moriarty) tries to organize resistance. Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) disappears, and the returned Butcher (Karl Urban) decides to use a virus capable of destroying all Supes. His action triggers a chain of events that will change the world forever.
The teaser also shows the return of Soldier Boy, played by Jensen Ackles, and the debut of an unknown character by Jared Padalecki, which marked the reunion of the "Supernatural" actors with showrunner Eric Kripke. According to Kripke, the finale will be "the culmination of everything the series was created for."
