Before embarking on an expedition, it's worth gathering as many valuable items as possible in the stash.
Instead of a mandatory wipe (resetting account progress) on a specific date, the authors of Arc Raiders proposed a system of "Expeditions." A temporary window will open for a certain period, during which the player can, if desired, "go on an expedition" and receive bonuses for it.
Embark Studios warned the Arc Raiders community that the expedition would be slightly delayed — the window for departure will open on December 17, and players will have until December 22 to decide on a wipe.
The authors of Arc Raiders also talked about the bonuses and the mechanics of their accrual:
- For the expedition (wipe), you can get up to five skill points, based on the value of the contents of the stash: "Every million coins of value gives one additional skill point for the new Raider."
- When wiping, everything related to progress will be reset, including the skill tree, the contents of the stash, the workshop upgrade, and the blueprints studied.
- All cards and potential workshop improvements will be available immediately after the wipe.

- Scrappy Janitor Cap headwear
- Expeditions Indicator badge
- Skill points (depending on the value of items from the stash)
- 12 slots for the stash
Temporary improvements. They will cease to be valid if you do not go on the next expedition; the effects can be enhanced with successive wipes:
- Repair amplification by 10%
- Experience gain 5%
- 6% more materials from the Scrappy assistant-chicken
