In February, Capcom pleased PC gamers by removing Denuvo from the Resident Evil 4 remake (the game had long been cracked, but the protection was not removed). However, the celebration did not last very long: it quickly became clear that the company's own DRM system had been implemented in the game.
Enigma protection also has a less than stellar reputation in the gaming community due to the negative impact of DRM on performance. Tests of the Resident Evil 4 remake clearly showed that the game started to perform worse.
A month later, Capcom returned to the Reisdent Evil 4 remake to cut out Enigma protection from the PC version. Players do not understand why it was originally added to the already cracked remake.
