The authors have also released two major updates and free content.
Awaken Realms has introduced the Sanctuary of Sarras expansion for Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. It will be released on December 15.
The expansion will add a new storyline lasting 10–15 hours, related to the fate of Nimue's rebels and their confrontation with King Arthur and Merlin. Players will explore the underwater sanctuary of Sarras with ancient structures, more than 20 new dungeons, four bosses, and 12 unique types of regular opponents. The expansion will feature over 100 new equipment items, as well as an alternative leveling system: three separate skill trees that can be developed in parallel and switched at any time.
Access to Sanctuary of Sarras opens after completing the Cuanacht region (second act of the main game); completing the main campaign is not required.
Simultaneously with the announcement, update 1.15 for the main game was released. The main change is performance optimization: on Xbox, the increase was more than 20 frames per second, on weak PCs and Steam Deck – 2–3 frames, on PlayStation 5 – a slight improvement in stability. The developers are continuing to work on eliminating crashes on PS5; a separate patch with fixes will be released along with the release of Sanctuary of Sarras.
All owners of the base game also have access to free bonus content: five new armor sets for completing certain achievements and alternative skins for the companion Corko, King Arthur, and Caradoc.
