The developers even planned to restore all the content cut from the original game.
According to a new investigation by journalist Stephen Totilo (GameFile), in addition to the widely known remake of the original Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Aspyr was also working on a full-fledged remake of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords.
The project had the internal code name Juliet and was a completely redesigned and improved second part of the game, which would also include all the cut content.
The remake was in development until at least March 2025, but was eventually stopped.
According to Totilo, Aspyr faced an «insurmountable obstacle» in the form of Disney lawyers. It all came down to the aforementioned cut content and copyright laws.
