All the experience accumulated over 30 years will be directed to the creation of a new project.
Recently, Larian Studios announced Divinity at The Game Awards 2025. The head of the development studio decided to address the players.
Sven Vincke thanked the community for their support and spoke a little about the new project:
Hello everyone! First of all, thank you for voting for us at The Game Awards - it means a lot to us. Your support literally energizes the entire team every day as we work on our games. We introduced Divinity - it was that \"health stone\" in our little teaser. It was a lot of fun watching you try to guess what game was behind it. Now you know it's Divinity.
The developer continued:
This will be a special game, our biggest game ever. We are putting everything we have into it - all the power of the studio and all the experience accumulated over the past 30 years. I'm sure you'll like it when you see it. We are continuing to work on the game and it will take us some time before [...] we finally show you the gameplay.
Larian Studios noted in a press release:
Although Divinity is a completely new game that does not require familiarity with previous Larian projects, those who have played Divinity: Original Sin and Original Sin 2 will have a better understanding of what is happening and the sequence of events
