The studio confirmed that Gears of War: E-Day is still planned for release in 2026, posting a concise message on social media: «Emergence Begins. 2026», which can be translated as «The Invasion Begins in 2026». The phrase directly refers to the plot of the game, dedicated to «Emergence Day», which players will see through the eyes of a young Marcus Fenix.
Thus, despite the minimum of information from Xbox, it seems that the initial plans remain unchanged.
