Atlus's years of silence have raised concerns about the fate of Persona 6, but an insider assures that there is no cause for panic. At the same time, new details about Persona 4 Revival have become known.
Persona 6 is not in production hell, despite years of no official news. This was stated by the verified insider NateTheHate, commenting on the concern of fans, which arose against the background of Atlus's protracted silence and rumors of possible project postponements.
Formally, Atlus first confirmed the existence of Persona 6 back in July 2021, posting vacancies. The description noted that the studio needed to expand its staff to surpass the success of Persona 5. However, since then, no reliable information about the game has been received.
Now the reason for the discussion was an old post by NateTheHate, dated 2023, which claimed that Persona 6 could be released in 2024 - which, of course, did not happen. One of the users asked if this meant that the game had fallen into "production hell". The insider answered this in the negative.
In parallel, NateTheHate commented on the status of Persona 4 Revival - a remake of the cult JRPG 2008, officially announced in the summer of 2025. According to him, Atlus is not the leading developer of the project. The main work is performed by the Japanese outsourcing studio Tose Software, which has been cooperating with Atlus and Square Enix for many years. This means that the internal Atlus P-Studio division is focused on the new numbered part of the series, while a separate team is working on the remake.
At the same time, the insider did not name a possible release window and did not report on a likely demonstration of the game in the near future. Fans of the series can only wait for official updates from Atlus.
