Hideki Kamiya's position is not shared by everyone.
Japanese players are extremely happy that Leon will appear in Resident Evil Requiem, and they really like the design of the series' star.
Leon looks amazing in Resident Evil Requiem. Aged like a fine wine.
No longer the dashing, cool, and young guy he was in Resident Evil 4. He has become an "ikeoji" [mature and attractive man]. This Leon is cool in his own way.
However, some commentators still believe that Leon is no longer at the age to save the world from evil corporations and zombie apocalypses. Among those who sympathize is game designer Hideki Kamiya, creator of Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, and Okami. Kamiya-dan also worked on Resident Evil 2, in which Leon debuted.
It's a shame that Leon, Dante, and Ryu look more and more like grandpas every day.
