A major update has been released for Dune: Awakening — patch 1.2.30.0. It has added new features, including base recovery tools, cargo containers for ornithopters, and several free items.
One of the main complaints about the game was the mechanic that could lead to the complete loss of a base after a long break from the game. Now, this problem is solved by the base recovery tool.
Create a base recovery tool and hover it over the base to save it in the tool's memory. The new feature does not create backups of transport. Vehicles that do not fit into the transport backup tool's memory, but that you want to take with you, are recommended to be disassembled, and the resulting parts should be placed in the bank or base storage.
The new tool works similarly to the transport backup tool — the base immediately disappears from the world along with everything inside or on it.
Placing the base is different from using blueprints. The base, including all contents, will appear instantly without the need to collect resources and build anything manually. In addition, the snap to original location feature will allow you to install the base in the new world exactly where it was in the old one.
The patch also added other innovations. A cargo container for ornithopters has appeared in the game, designed "for transporting large batches of items and materials." After assembly, the container can be used with a transport ornithopter.
The update also features merchants with past Twitch drops, gameplay improvements, and a free decorative set called "Gifts of the Sands" with interior items, weapon skins, and a holographic tree. Development of Dune: Awakening continues, and the third chapter of the game is already in production.
