The game is made in a visual style reminiscent of South of Midnight, which recently won an award at The Game Awards 2025. Mutter is being developed by DeadlyCrow Games, and the game takes place in England in 1940.
The game uses stop-motion animation; the gameplay combines platformer and puzzle elements. The hero moves between locations by bicycle. The game includes crafting elements: collecting medicines and preparing various dishes for the main character's sick mother.
A few days ago, the authors of Mutter released a demo version, allowing you to familiarize yourself with the gameplay. The demo is available on Steam, and the release of Mutter is scheduled for 2026.
