No evidence has been provided by the "victims" of Sven Vincke's regime.
Larian Studios has suddenly been bombarded with accusations from former employees and writers, who have collectively begun sharing on their Blue Sky social media pages harrowing stories of sexual harassment, tolerance of openly fascist views within the team, and exploitative hiring practices for narrative positions.
A certain Hash Bandicoot, who allegedly worked at Larian, stated that the studio's management ignored complaints about a colleague who became radicalized during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to him, the employee openly watched Tim Pool's videos in the office, discussed "cultural Marxism," and formed a small group of like-minded individuals with far-right views. Several employees allegedly approached the head of the studio, Sven Vincke, directly, asking him to intervene, pointing out that the colleague's behavior was creating discomfort and contradicted the team's values. However, the head of Larian did nothing about the radical, calling him "irreplaceable". This allegedly led to a toxic atmosphere, especially for marginalized workers.
A separate wave of criticism concerns hiring practices, especially for writer positions. Zoe Quinn said that she turned down an offer from Larian because of the requirement to write an unpaid, labor-intensive test script. She also noted the lack of support for remote work and the use of generative AI in the studio. Narrative designer Bruno Dias also complained about the huge amount of unpaid work in test assignments, numerous interviews, and months of waiting. Writer Kat Manning added that the studio forced people to spend thousands of hours on work for which they were ultimately not paid. According to Manning, many are silent and do not share their bad experiences with Larian, hoping that the studio will change for the better.
It is worth noting that in 2019, Zoe Quinn accused Canadian developer and composer Alec Holowka of inappropriate and immoral behavior. Amid the scandal, Alec Holowka's colleagues turned away from him, and the game he was working on was canceled. Holowka also began to be harassed online, and in the end, it all ended in tragedy. Quinn provided no evidence for her accusations.
