Rumors have surfaced about the return of Starfield. Bethesda's game may get a second life, comparable to the Cyberpunk 2077 reboot.
Starfield, the studio's first new franchise in decades, impressed with its scale: space, hundreds of planets, an RPG sandbox. Players, however, complained about long loading times, boring travels, and rare content. Even the first Shattered Space expansion couldn't drastically change the perception of the game.
Informant @LukeStephens in X reported that a large update and a new DLC "Terran Armada" were shown behind closed doors. The main changes will affect space travel: it will become smoother, freer, and less dependent on loading screens. There are also plans to improve the Creation Engine, which will improve not only Starfield, but also future Bethesda projects.
Rumors include versions for PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Some sources warn that the scale of changes may be smaller than Cyberpunk's, while others are confident in a serious reworking of the game under the leadership of Todd Howard.
