According to recent data from German retailer Mindfactory, the Intel Arc B580 sold in greater numbers than several competing models with 8GB of memory, including the Radeon RX 9070 from AMD and the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB from NVIDIA.
Typically, AMD and NVIDIA remain the sales leaders, while Intel occupies the lower ranks. However, this week, the Arc B580 climbed to 12th place, selling around 40 units. This is a small number compared to leaders like the RX 9070 XT, which sold hundreds, but it's a noticeable increase compared to previous months when Intel products hardly appeared in such lists.
In 2025, video cards with 8GB of video memory are selling weaker: modern games require more VRAM, and buyers are increasingly choosing models with 12GB and above. The Arc B580 is equipped with 12GB of GDDR6, making it more attractive for gaming at 1440p without the risk of running into memory limitations.
This does not mean that Intel will be able to compete with the market leaders anytime soon: AMD and NVIDIA still control the main share of sales, and Arc volumes remain modest. But the very fact of growing interest in the Intel video card looks indicative — especially in a segment where the company was previously rarely considered a serious player.
