Dota 2 and League of Legends Tabletop Incarnation: MOBA Onward to be Released in Russia

As early as January of next year, pre-orders for the board game Onward should open in Russia. With it, you can arrange classic MOBA showdowns, play as all sorts of champions, fight enemies in the lanes, and destroy creeps in the forests.

Employees of the Crowd Games publishing house announced that they will release the board MOBA Onward for 2–4 players in Russian. It has incorporated the key features of the genre and became an ideological continuation of Skytear — a project from the same authors.

Onward raised more than 49 million rubles on the Gamefound crowdfunding platform. In this board game, players are divided into two teams, each chooses two or more heroes, after which a game lasting up to 90 minutes begins.

The main goal is to destroy the enemy base. The playing field consists of 2–3 lines connecting the teams' bases. Defensive towers and minions are located on them. Between the lines is a forest where you can fight monsters and earn gold to buy items, and a river where a huge monster lives, defeating which can turn the tide of the match.

The basis of the gameplay is playing cards. Each hero has six unique cards that allow you to use them in different ways — to move, attack, or activate special skills. With add-ons, the number of heroes increases to 32 (in the basic version there are 16), and they are all divided by roles.

Crowd Games plans to open pre-orders for Onward as early as January 2026.
