Alexey Koptsev, former head of Siberiya Nova, has taken the helm of the independent studio Siberian Artisans.
The studio actively attracts young specialists through partnerships with leading Russian universities, including ITMO. As part of a special program, senior students and recent graduates participate in real-world development, from designing mechanics and scenarios to programming and testing. This helps strengthen the industry's talent pool.
Siberian Artisans is one of the pioneers in the implementation of voice interfaces in gaming projects. In collaboration with Sber, innovative developments have been created for digital platforms, including educational chess with voice control and the educational game "Play-China" for learning Chinese.
After receiving accreditation in the Moscow Game Cluster, the studio is preparing to launch the educational project "The Wonderful Faraway". The first stage will be the astronomy game "Almagest" for high school and university students. The project also includes the fantastic novella "Pheligalactis: The Quantum Cat Chase", whose characters are integrated into the game.
Alexey Koptsev's career in the gaming industry began in 2001. During this time, he participated in the development of 27 projects for PC and consoles, including Smuta.
