Owners of weak video cards like the RTX 4060 with 8 GB VRAM have seen an increase in frame rates of approximately 20% in the most problematic scenes and locations compared to the release version of the game. Digital Foundry visually demonstrated this at the 6th minute of the video, noting noticeable progress even compared to the refined version of Title Update 3.
The price for improvements for video cards with 8 GB VRAM was a more noticeable loading of objects. At the same time, the quality of textures has noticeably improved on the "Medium" graphics setting. As Digital Foundry notes, in some places, the texture resolution has become slightly lower than in update No. 3. This price is considered justified, as the game got rid of animation jerks associated with VRAM overflow.
Capcom has confirmed that work on optimization is ongoing. The first update will be released in January and will bring further improvements to CPU and GPU performance, reduced video memory usage, and improved high-quality texture streaming. In February, the developers will release the next patch, which will reduce the load on the GPU by adding new levels of detail.
