Xbox Series X|S Sales in 2025 Fell to Nearly 1 Million - Insider
According to new data, sales of Xbox Series X and S consoles in 2025 were significantly lower than previous forecasts.
According to a CNBC article and VGChartz data, total sales amounted to about 1.7 million units. At the same time, insider KeplerL2 stated: "I think it's closer to 1 million."
In the UK, Xbox sales fell by 51% compared to last year, while Nintendo grew by 41%, and PS5 fell by 29%. In the US, spending on gaming hardware fell by 27%, on accessories - by 13%, while spending on software increased by 1%.
The total circulation of Xbox Series X|S as of December 2025 is estimated at 34.2 million units, which is 9 million less than the Xbox One at the same stage. Despite the weak hardware performance, Microsoft is betting on growth through software, services, and Game Pass, rather than console sales.
