According to insider Nash Weedle, Star Wars Jedi games will soon appear on Nintendo Switch 2 thanks to a new Disney initiative. The company wants all video games based on its franchises to be released on the portable console.
This may also mean that future Star Wars games, such as the recently announced Fate of the Old Republic and Star Wars Jedi: 3 from EA, will be released on Switch 2.
Nintendo Switch 2 has had a successful launch, exceeding sales expectations. The console became a hit during the holiday season, with 220,000 units sold in Japan alone. With 10 million devices sold worldwide, it could reach 20 million in its first year.
Insider Nash Weedle reported that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be released on Switch 2 in the near future.
Switch 2 has already received Star Wars: Outlaws from Ubisoft, which has shown decent performance on the platform. Now the console may become home to other AAA projects.
