This port will only be possible thanks to new technologies. The key to success was updating the Unreal Engine to version 5.7, which increases GPU performance by up to 40%, which paved the way for Switch 2. The game is currently running at 20 FPS, but Frame Generation, NVIDIA's DLSS, and AMD's FSR should bring it up to a stable 30 FPS. Interestingly, NVIDIA has not yet specified whether it will be supported on the new Switch.
The developers promise visuals close to the version for Xbox Series X: Lumen and Nanite systems are preserved in a resolution close to 1080p in portable mode. The Switch 2 has more memory than the Series S, which will allow to avoid "cutting" graphics. ARK on the new Nintendo console will be a complete "next-gen" experience with crossplay for PC and stationary consoles — without compromises, if it is possible to stabilize the frames.
