Published gameplay videos and player impressions point to one of the key disadvantages of Code Violet: the story campaign can be completed in less than three hours. For a full release in 2026, this duration is not satisfactory for many.
The situation is aggravated by the quality of the final version of the game. The gameplay shown demonstrates a weak visual component: dark and empty locations, low detail of the environment, mediocre models and animations of enemies. In a number of scenes, sharp drops in image clarity are noticeable, which looks unconvincing for the current generation of consoles.
There are also problems with performance. On PS5, the project runs in 30 frames per second mode, but even this indicator is not consistently maintained. Players note poor optimization, which directly affects the comfort of the passage.
It is not surprising that thanks began to appear under the first videos to the authors of the video. Many users managed to cancel pre-orders, considering the price unjustified for such a short, technically weak and visually outdated game.
