Releasing your game on some platforms can be very difficult.
Recently, Pathologic 3 was released on PC in Steam. Some players began to inquire about console versions of the game, and writer Alexey Polyarinov answered one of the questions:
Unfortunately, it didn't work out with the Xbox, our team tried to pass certification there, but Microsoft - to put it politely - are the worst people on planet Earth. At the same time, everything is fine on PS5, they promise to release it almost by January 23
Soon Alexey clarified that the release on PS5 will take place earlier than expected:
But here I have good news, they wrote in the work chat an hour ago that the release on ps5 is today
The situation with Xbox, as it seemed, was also resolved in the end:
I was just informed that the Xbox has bent over, and the game will be released on it on January 23
However, Alexey then added that the release date of Pathologic on Xbox is now in question:
I feel like a guy from a meme about opening the gate, but now they write to me that it may not be released on January 23, but later. It's difficult to transfer to the platform, but the bottom line is that it will still be released on the box
