Players in Baldur's Gate 3 have noted that Wyll received less content than other characters. Recently, a senior writer at Larian explained why this happened.

Kevin said that he also wished Wyll had more content and a more complete story arc. He reminded that the character was almost completely rewritten during early access:

Many decisions were made much later in the development process than I would have liked. There was supposed to be a key event not far from Baldur's Gate, in which I planned to heavily involve Wyll (the Red War College location), but it was cut.

Then the decision was made to connect Wyll with Duke Ravengard, and while working on this arc, Kevin got sick and was out of the office for a long time.

I think the idea with Ansur's lair belongs to Sven Vincke: we had the resources for a separate dungeon [...] Once the situations were set, everything - we had to start writing them down. As a result, Wyll's content turned out to be more scarce than I would have liked. It is also divided into two stories- with Mizora and with Ravengard, and perhaps this was a mistake. I would also like to give Wyll a stronger ending for Wyll - it always bothered me that he could end up the same way he started, just as the Blade of Frontiers, without any significant difference. With all this, I love the Blade and am very proud of him - his sincerity, kind nature, and ardent heroism. I'm really sorry I didn't give you more quality content with him.
