After the completion of the "Multiverse Saga," Marvel will begin the "Mutant Saga."
Marvel Studios, apparently, has already decided on the direction of the cinematic universe for years to come. According to insider Daniel Richtman, the studio is developing several projects dedicated to mutants, including a separate Wolverine movie. All of them will become part of a new stage, which the industry is already calling the "Mutant Saga."
It has long been known that Marvel is preparing a reboot of the "X-Men" franchise. In the upcoming crossover "Avengers: Secret Wars," a whole group of actors from the Fox era "X-Men" will appear. In addition, it is officially known that director Jake Schreier is developing a film about mutants, which should become the flagship of the next phase after "Avengers: Secret Wars."
However, according to Richtman, the studio does not intend to limit itself to team stories. A solo project about Wolverine is in development, as well as several separate films and series about other mutants.
At the same time, the question of who exactly is meant by "Wolverine" remains open. Hugh Jackman has already returned to the image of Logan in the movie "Deadpool & Wolverine" and, according to rumors, should appear in "Avengers: Secret Wars" - there is no official confirmation of this yet.
A scenario is also being discussed in which Jackman symbolically passes the baton to X-23, played by Dafne Keen. It is assumed that this may happen in thefinale of "Secret Wars," where Jackman will allegedly become one of the central characters along with Spider-Man Tobey Maguire.
So far, all this information exists only at the level of rumors and insights, and it should be treated with caution.
