Toshihiro Nagoshi, the creator of the Yakuza series, is working on a new game called Gang of Dragon. According to him, "every element is conceived and built from scratch."
Nagoshi wrote in his New Year's address on the studio's website:
The passion and enthusiasm of fans around the world have been a huge support for our entire team.
Gang of Dragon is described as a "human drama about exiles in the real Kabuki-cho district."
From the cityscape to the gameplay - everything is being created from scratch. We are fully dedicated to creating a game that we can confidently present to players around the world.
The main role is played by Ma Dong-seok, known for "Train to Busan" and "Nameless Gangster". His character, a member of the Korean crime syndicate Shin Ji-sung, will build "strong human connections that make him rethink his own purpose."
Gang of Dragon offers melee combat, weapons, firearms, and the ability to drive vehicles with modifications. There is no release date yet, but Nagoshi hopes that 2026 will be "full of bright gaming experiences for all players."
