With the release of the third season, "Primal" has once again become one of the most popular shows on HBO Max.
The animated series "Primal" returned on January 11th with its third season and, in just a few days, garnered 100% "freshness" on Rotten Tomatoes based on 44 critic reviews. Thus, the show has achieved a kind of hat-trick — all three seasons maintain a perfect rating.
The third season became a kind of reboot for the main character, Spear. The very decision to "resurrect" Spear was controversial even before the release, but this did not prevent critics from showering the series with praise again — for "technically flawless animation" and the ability to tell deep, emotional stories without a single word.
Viewers, in general, also warmly received the new season: it currently has a 94% audience approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Interest in the return is also confirmed by the numbers. According to FlixPatrol, "Primal" ranks second in the HBO Max charts, second only to the platform's flagship series, "Pitt Hospital," whose second season premiered on January 8th.
The second episode of the third season of "Primal" will be released on HBO on January 18th. In total, the season will consist of 10 episodes, like the previous ones.
