Amazon starts burying New World Aeternum: the game disappeared from digital stores
In January 2027, the Aeternum servers will be shut down.
Amazon Games has officially announced the closure of its New World: Aeternum. The game will be completely shut down from all platforms on January 31, 2027, and as early as today, January 15, it has been removed from all digital stores and is no longer available for purchase.
Those who already have Aeternum in their library will be able to continue playing until the specified date. After December 31, 2026, there will be only one month left before saying goodbye to the world of Aeternum.
Amazon Games emphasizes that the Nighthaven season (the latest major update) has been extended until the servers are shut down. Purchases of the in-game currency Marks of Fortune and other microtransactions will be available until July 20, 2026, however, the company warned in advance that refunds for Marks of Fortune will not be made. After this date, the in-game store will be completely closed. The servers will continue to operate as usual until the end of the project's life, and the team will release critical bug fixes.
